Where I Stand

I am a common-sense Democrat and have been for years. I share nothing with the MAGA agenda followed to the tee by my opponent.

  • I firmly support bottom-up economics, not the other way. The richest almost never “trickle down” their wealth.

  • I firmly believe in government as designed in the Constitution. It absolutely needs to evolve, but “what does the Constitution say?” will be my first stop.

  • I firmly believe we should leave people alone to live their lives as they see fit. If people are not harming others, mind your own business.

  • A woman’s body is theirs, not yours. Who people love, how they dress, or identify is none of my business, and it is none of yours. I will fight to protect women’s rights.

  • As someone who has struggled with severe ADHD and alcoholism (22 years sober by the grace of God), I will champion addiction and mental health programs.

  • I don’t care what bathroom adults use.

  • I firmly believe my opponent’s agenda has zero interest in advocating for the middle class and our most vulnerable people, who make up more than 90% of this district.

  • I firmly believe in Medicaid, Medicare, SNAP, Title 1 funding, ACA benefits, and other federal programs that specifically support the middle class and our most vulnerable.

  • I believe in the 2nd Amendment. I carry myself. I support mandatory waiting periods, closing all gun show loopholes, and a total assault weapons ban. Common-sense gun laws are common sense.

  • $15 Federal Minimum wage. It is barely a living wage but it is legislatively possible. I’m a small business owner. “It will send costs soaring” is a lie. TARIFFS hurt working folks, not a living wage.

  • I am an advocate for securing the border while also fulfilling immigration reform backed by Democrats, such as protecting “Dreamers,” or migrants who were brought to the U.S. as children.

  • I support a pathway to citizenship for those living in the country illegally provided they don't have a criminal record.

  • I believe in a “strong, secure border” and propose making “more investments in technology, well staffed ports of entry and border patrol agents on the border, and, where effective, physical barriers and fencing.

  • If someone is here illegally and has a criminal record here or their home country, I support humanely deporting them back to their country of origin after due process.
